Storm Sewer Ditch Structures

The top photo is a picture of a 2' diameter storm sewer structure.  These structures are being installed along Techny Road and are located in the center of the proposed ditch that will be constructed on the north and south sides of Techny Road.  Storm water will enter these structures and then flow into the 84" or 72" main line storm sewer system that is being installed from Second Street to Pfingsten Road.  The bottom photo is a picture of a grate that will be placed on top of the 2' diameter structures.

Currently, the main line storm sewer has been installed from Second Street to Cargill Drive.  The 2' diameter structures have been installed on the south side of Techny Road from Second Street to Cargill Drive.

Conflict Junction Chamber

This Conflict Junction Chamber was installed at the intersection of Techny Road and Butternut Lane.  It measured approximately 12' long, 6' wide and 20' tall and deep.  It is a precast concrete structure that was fabricated by Welch Bros., Inc. and delivered to the jobsite in 4 separate sections.  The structure was necessary in order to avoid the conflict between the new 84" storm sewer pipe and the existing 8" sanitary sewer.
